I'm Still Here

Blogger apathy is nothing new, and I seem to be well in the midst of it. Photographer's block, maybe. Boredom, lethargy, depression. I'm attempting to keep the creative juices flowing with my writing - I've published a few things on Amazon's Kindle store, mainly horror stuff, and one of which ('The Sinners of Crowsmere') does have a local EastScapes-y relevance, set as it is in a fictional version of the Norfolk coast.

"Junkies Go Home:" Waste Woods

Across the road from Norwich's 'secret garden,' the restored nineteenth century Plantation Gardens, lies a strange scrap of forgotten waste woodland I assume was once part of the same quarry. (The famous 1988 image of the double decker bus sinking into a collapsed hole in the road, courtesy of instabilities caused by medieval chalk mines beneath the surface, happened mere yards away). I don't know what this chunk of crumbling wall is, or how many years it has stood. I like this place as a weird grotty twin to the Plantation Gardens.

Revenge of the Cromer Crab

Cromer's most famous export is the Cromer Crab. Here a giant specimen was spotted crashing through the wall of a local Budgen's carpark. Guy N. Smith did warn us, after all.
