There's something about rust, isn't there? Such a human infection, you only see it where something has been made, created, and then left, uncared and unattended... Potentially deadly, harbouring tetanus, and yet such warm and interesting colours...
Thanks, John! Rust is indeed fascinating: aside from the obvious colour, just that flaking peeling texture is enough. A real visual representation of age and decay. So it's a bit of a no-brainer that I'd be fascinated by it!
