Up on the Roof (of Norwich's Royal Arcade)
Having a look around the rooftop of the Royal Arcade, Norwich. Although George Skipper's Arcade dates back over a century, so many bits and pieces have been added over the years that there's not really much of any major interest up there, other than blue skies and pigeons. Always nice to see a familiar city from a slightly different angle, though.

Beeston Bleakness: Cold Cliffs
Just a few shots taken on my iPhone from the Beeston Bump. This was a cold, blowy, mist-shrouded November afternoon, on which it felt like night was falling at about 2pm. From the top of the hill you could see the mist creeping slowly over Sheringham like a malevolent spectre. It was a good afternoon to be indoors, in the warmth, beneath a blanket or two.

Dear Bat: Nature Detectives
Wandering around a small patch of woodland on the edge of Norwich, and I found a small semi-clearing in which paper cut-outs of bats were hanging from the branches of trees. I initially assumed them to be something Halloween related, but they appear to be classroom or nursery activity sheets from the Woodland Trust, for budding 'Nature Detectives.' The pieces of paper had little questions and statements written on them in pencil and crayon for the bats of the wood to ponder during the darkening months.
