Dining in the Shadows

Sands Cafe, Great Yarmouth pier. The cafe is actually below the pier, in the shadows, giving it - on an off-season day with it shuttered up, admittedly - a fairly oppressive, almost subterranean air.

iCampus

Again trudging around the brutalist structures of the University of East Anglia campus, this time with new artsy-fartsy retro filters on my iPhone camera.

They ARE kewl

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, why the sad face?

Graffiti on the back of the Sir Garnet Wolseley pub, Norwich.

Treeshadows

After months of waiting for the sun to return... One is reminded how beautiful the shadows can be on a golden day.

Road Art

Various worn road markings that chart my daily trudge into the city. Purely instrumental in purpose, seen in detail and out of context they can take on an almost rhythmic geometric abstraction.

Baby Steps

The small alleyway of St. Lawrence Little Steps, which connects St. Benedict's Street to Westwick Street. I'm a total sucker for these small passageways, and find the name here odd and almost beautiful. Any poetry, however, is presumably incidental - its name merely differentiating it from St. Lawrence Steps, another similar alleyway further down the street.

Some great grafitti down here too.
