The clock-face of Norwich City Hall, with hands removed for repair.
The clock had been wrong for several weeks, panicking and disorientating me several times as I walked to work.

"And That's How a Hippo Became a Police Deputy..."
Sandwich board for today's edition of the Norwich Evening News. Amusing animal stories are all well and good, but aren't there, like, wars and revolutions and disasters going on in the world?
NB - this reminds me of a story from last year, in which Plymouth's Casper the Cat travelled on the same bus for four years. Shortly after it was announced a book ('Casper the Commuting Cat: The True Story of the Cat Who Rode the Bus and Stole Our Hearts,' for you bookworms) was to be written about his exploits... He was killed. Hit by a car. Crossing the road. To catch the bus.
Make sure you look both ways, Norwich kitty...

The Village Falling Into the Sea pt. 1
The battered sea defences at Happisburgh. Changes in governmental policies over the years has led to the discontinuation of coastal erosion management.
In Febuary 2011, local media reported that compensation deals had been struck between at-risk homeowners and the North Norfolk District Council.
